2008 was a good year. It was a great year for me. I spent a great year with all my friends, and i felt good.

It scares the shit out of me that, as i am typing these words, seconds are ticking away from my life continously, inevitably. Every year end, i would look back at all the things i've done, and i would ask myself whether i wasted this year. Know what? I didn't waste this year, cause this was one of the best years of my life.

Every new year means that i would have a new year's goals. My goal is to become much more mature, and less pretentious and less lame. Yesterday, when i was walking back home, i came across this little boy. He was playing around the traffic light post as if he was playing his toys. He was hugging the post, and playing his watch, like a 2 year old kid, and some passers by laughed. He looked like primary four to me. This boy didn't care about his image at all, making him unpretentious. He doesn't care what people think about him, and continues doing what he wants to do. I envy him.

I believe that there are many things we would like to do in public, but we chose not to do due to concern over our image. Many of us wear 'masks', and put on a classy front. Actually, many of us, deep down inside, we have a kiddish mind. But we cover it, and in the end we are who we are not. We should not let people influence every aspect of us, and we should be who we are. That's what my brother told me. I wanna be like my brother in that aspect, being true to ourselves.


I like to laugh at typical singapore scenarios nowadays.


I laugh, because >50% of the young and student girls put make up whenever they go out.

I laugh, because >50% of the young girls act cute and give act-cute poses in front of the camera. Some of them even act geeky! WTF? Why don't they just put on a genuine smile in front of the camera? I don't get them. Maybe it's just me.

I laugh, because >50% of the people listen love songs that make up >70% of their mp3s playlist. Don't everyone get sick of chessy love songs?

I laugh, because >50% of the students really don't take studying seriously. ( I WAS one of them before.) Wait till they can't find proper jobs in singapore! Then they'll regret.

I laugh, because >50% of us quarelled with our parents before.( i WAS one of them before.) Parents give us life, give us food, give us money, give us LOVE. Why quarell? Why not love them back?

I laugh, becuase > 70% of us keep doing things even though we know that they are wrong. ( I AM one of them) LOL.

I laugh, because some of us say that their life are complicated. No it isn't. Those poor kids in Africa living in poverty, THEIR lives are complicated. Not us.

There are more scenarios, but i kinda wanna stop here. I'm only estimating the percentages, but i'm quite adamant that i'm correct. Seriously.




There are 2 shows i wanna introduce, but i will leave them to the next post.


2009. This is it. just a few more hours, 2009 will arrive. A new year brings new hope, new life, new changes. Just try not to forget who we really are deep down inside. That is my message.


I found a real reason to blog. Not just to blog about my everyday life, like where i went this afternoon or this type of shit. These are boring stuffs to me. Unless my life is special, only blogging about my everyday life is useless. I wanna express my views on everything, i wanna introduce good music, good films, good shows and many cool stuffs. I want this blog to work. I want to blog for a valid reason. Yeap. Even though a average of 14 people visit my blog, i hope that they didn't go to my blog for no reason.



So be cool, be real, be awesome.

I got out of my laziness, and decided to update my music player. I'll introduce some of my new songs.

This song is a peaceful and cool track by Coldplay. BTW, Coldplay is one of my favouurite bands.

2. Ordinary people by John Legend
John Legend is a soulful singer, and also a grammy award winner.

3. You raise me up by Brian Kennedy and the Secret Garden
People say that Josh Groban is the best singer of this song, i beg to differ. This is the original song, and you'll be surprised that this is actually a live performance i think. Brian Kennedy is the original and best singer of You Raise Me Up.

4. Hallelujah by Jeff Buckley
This song is a very nice song, which some people won't appreciate. But it has become one of my favourite songs, due to influence of my brother. R.I.P Jeff.

5. Better Man/ Feel by Robbie Williams
Both of these songs are cool, well i actually prefer Feel.

6. 海阔天空 by Beyond.
This song is one of the best song i've heard. Great vocals. Btw this song is the Xbaxa...

7. The Scientist by Coldplay
My favourite song of Coldplay. Very relaxing, and i just love this song,

8. If You're Not The One by Daniel Beddingfield
This guy is the brother of Natasha Beddingfield. He is definitely better than his sister. His false seltto is.. err.. good!



Right. I've been watching a new tv series called Dexter. Not the Dexter laboratory of course. It is even better than LIFE. Will update about Dexter next time.

Well i would say.. that the show is a bit NC16. Vulgarities, and a bit yellow if you know what i mean. Also got a lil' gore. But the plot is * THUMBS UP*.

Do you know why live versions and cd versions of songs are almost always different, and all the live versions are lousier? It's because the people always edit the singers' voices when they are recording, and of course they edit it to be nicer. I like singers who sing nice both in CDs and live. Yeap.

Yo everyone! I'm currently working at swensens with Daren! So please feel free to visit swensens in IMM. The work there has been good, as i'm doing the customer services. The staffs there are cool and friendly, it's been great there!



Now for LIFE. LIFE is a cool tv show, and is definitly one of the best i've come across, at least better than the lame HEROES. 1st season of HEROES was fantastic, but the plot is becoming lamer and lamer.


Plot: This show is about a detective named Charlie Crews, who was thrown to prison for murders he didn't commit. 12 years later, the case was reopened and the police found no incriminating evidence pointing to him. Therefore, Charlie crews was released, and he became a detective again. His new partner is Dani Reese, a hot woman, whose father had something to do with the scheme to throw Crews into prison. While Crews continue solving on-going crimes with his partner, he also does his own investigation secretly to find out the people who brought him to prison for nothing. Crews wants to nab all the people who set him up and let him suffer 12 years of prison.



This show is like.. wow. The plot of the story is interesting, mysterious, and sometime hilarious. IMDB rating of LIFE is 8.2/10.

Haven't have the mood to update recently. All my holidays revolve around home. It's all about the computer, psp, tv. Damn i'm starting to become a no-lifer. Well, i've been catching 2 tv series stimultaneously. There are CHUCK and LIFE.




CHUCK.

PLOT: From a retail hack who sells computers to a hunted man with a computer in his brain. Chuck's life changes when an old college friend sends him an e-mail that chucks him into the world of spies.



I personally love this show cause it is funny, cool and it involves spies and agents! I mean... who doesn't likes shows with spies and agents?

Now for the malacca trip! I seriously lazy to upload photos, so i'll upload them next time.



I feel that malacca is a cool but 'old' place. If i'm not wrong, malacca was a part of the world heritage plan, that means it cannot upgrade itself and can only remain as what it is. Looking at all the bad home conditions of malacca, i felt bad and sorry for them. Although the malacca brings back the 50s and 60s unique and antique feelings, being stuck at the times means that all the people there cannot enjoy the benefits of urbanisation. That sucks lah!



The antique stuffs there are super cool. I bought a toy gun and magic card decks, and some random stuffs. The sad thing is that i didn't buy much as my money is limited LOL. My brother bought cooler stuffs like posters of Bruce Lee and Beatles.




The trip to malacca by car was... wait for it.... here it comes..... almost THERE.... 9 HOURS! That's... something.
